Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum?
Our full-service weddings start at a $4,000 minimum. For anything under that, we offer a pick-up option! Check out the “Services & Investment” page for more info on what that includes.
Do you have a contract?
Yep! Once you’re ready to book, we’ll send over a contract to make everything official- it protects us both and ensures we’re on the same page for your big day.
What do you require to book?
A signed contract and a 50% deposit, which is based on your estimated total. We’ll calculate that after your first meeting with us!
What if I need to make changes after already sending the 50% deposit?
No worries at all- this happens ALL the time. We will make any of those changes to your final invoice! You aren’t locked into having to pay the exact 50% amount- things happen!
How do you typically do meetings?
Our studio is located in downtown Kansas City, MO, and we’d love to host you here! But if staying home sounds better, no worries- we can totally meet via Zoom too.
Do you have any recommendations on getting our flowers preserved?
Yes! Some great local spots are: The Garden Gallery KC and Evermore Blossoms
How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?
It totally depends on where you’re at in your planning process. Some couples reach out a year (or more!) in advance, and others just a few months out. As long as you’ve secured your venue and major vendors- and have an idea of your floral vision- it’s a great time to get started.
What happens to the flowers after the wedding?
We try our best to design most arrangements so you can take the florals with you (or hand out to guests at the end of the night)! For example, if you’re using our rental vases, we’ll build the designs in compostable bowls inside the rentals- that way, you keep the flowers, and we keep our rentals. Win-win! Want to donate your flowers instead? We love Unexpected Blooms, a KC-based nonprofit that collects leftover wedding flowers and delivers them to hospitals and nursing homes. Highly recommend checking them out!
How far do you travel?
We primarily serve the greater Kansas City area, and typically travel up to 1.5 hours outside of town. This helps us keep your blooms fresh and our team efficient!
Will you make a TikTok about my wedding?
Funny enough- we get this question a lot! And the answer is: probably yes! If you’d prefer we don’t share your wedding on social media, no problem at all- just let us know!
May I drop by to discuss flowers for an upcoming event?
We would hate to have you come in at a time when we are not able to give you our full attention so we do require you set up a meeting with us on an agreed upon time!
I’ve already booked you, but my wedding is still over a year away! When do we touch base again?
Great question! Don’t worry if there’s a bit of a quiet stretch. I’ll always reach out around 2 months before your wedding to schedule your final meeting. We’ll review all the details again, talk through any updates, and finalize your setup/clean up plan. Basically, everything you need for a seamless day!
Where do you source your flowers from?
Everywhere…seriously! We work with amazing local wholesalers who help us source flowers from all over the world. That said, we do prioritize seasonal availability and love sourcing from local flower farms whenever possible. I’ll always do my best to get your dream blooms, and keep you informed about what’s in season and what’s realistic.
